VOTER EDUCATION

GFWC Muskego Woman’s Club sponsors a proctored question/answer panel for elected positions in the city whenever there are two or more candidates running for an office.  This started with school board positions and now includes any city office.

The forum provides voters a terrific opportunity to be better informed as they prepare to vote.  Questions focused on issues facing the board are determined in advance and are strictly non-partisan.  The club provides a moderator and timers to ensure all candidates are given equivalent opportunities to respond.

The City of Muskego administration offices worked closely with the Club to bring this service to the voters.  The 2021, 2022 and 2024 Schoolboard Candidate Forums were live streamed by the City of Muskego. To view how the forum is conducted, the March 24, 2022, session can be viewed at this link:

GFWC International Legislative Action Center

The headquarters offers a free tool for members to track proposed federal legislation pertinent to the community service mission of the Club called the Legislative Action Center.
